Whole House Ventilation

Demand Controlled Ventilation works in the same way as a MEV system but with more control over the level of ventilation the system provide to the whole house. The system runs all the time and will boost in speed only in the wet room that has an elevated level of humidity. Each wet room has a humidity sensitive extract valve which will open and close with the level of moisture detected in that room.

When the extract valve opens up the central extract fan will increase in speed because of the loss of pressure in the system. Only the wet room where the humidity is detected will increase in the ventilation level. This will help in reducing the heating consumption and improving the comfort level of the home owner.



Similarly in the habitable areas such as the bedrooms and sittingroom, the Anjos humidity controlled vent will be installed to allow fresh replacement air into the home. These vents open and close according to the humidity levels in the room so as not to over ventilate the room when it is not been occupied. These vents are non electrical and available with an acoustic lining , there is a  choice of external cowls for exposed locations.

The Anjos Em-HY air inlets and the Anjos hygro extraction vents react according to the relative humidity rate of the accommodation. A nylon braid captures the humidity conditions in the room and activates a flap which controls the passage of air to the mouth or the air inlet.

In order to adapt the need for ventilation in the habitable areas areas, the Anjos Em-HY vent will open gradually depending on the humidity level in the room. The air inlets will begin to open for a humidity rate close to 45% to reach their maximum opening at a rate close to 60%. The extraction vents will follow the same principle, to open gradually from a relative humidity of the wet room of around 30% up to a relative humidity of 70%.
